Sara and Sandro fell during the preparation of an armed action. Beyond contingent aspects, the meaning of their sacrifice lies entirely in the revolutionary determination, in human generosity, in the militant coherence, which they have shown in their life path.
It is also with these essential qualities that resistance can be transformed into a new revolutionary process. Sara and Sandro were clear that only on the level of open confrontation can class consciousness, determination and the forces necessary for a revolutionary process be developed. In a society like ours, in which social compromise, disintegration and subordination still prevail, it is in the concrete paths of rupture, in the coherence between planning and practice, and in the corresponding militant growth, that one can have an impact, that breaches can be opened and perspectives opened.
State and capital have thrown off the democratic mask. Wars, devastation and looting, genocide, brazenly perpetrated, bring us back to their constitutive essence, to their very economic functioning, from their origins.
The fronts of resistance in the world are our reference, they are our strengths, around which to unite, and from which to learn. Sara and Sandro fell trying to make this solidarity, this perspective, a reality, and with the same generosity with which so many fighters in the world offer their lives. And in this, as in the best revolutionary epochs, and as the drama of today’s historical crisis requires, a concrete internationalism, a revolutionary future, can be founded.
Honor to Sara and Sandro and to all those who fall fighting for the revolution!
